猫咪社区 offers Certificate programs in several specialized subject areas for those students seeking to expand their knowledge and expertise.
The 18-hour Leadership certificate program is designed for graduate students who are seeking training and preparation for administrative roles in independent schools. This program is not designed to provide requirements for educator or administrative licensure through the 猫咪社区 Department of Education.

Students who have a bachelor's degree in the field of Education and who wish to know more about gifted education may pursue a Certificate in Gifted Education. This Certificate is a formal certificate indicating the completion of a gifted education curriculum. The coursework included in the certificate program provides a background for careers in education and can lead to a K-12 gifted endorsement through the MDE for those with a current, standard MS teaching license. Courses are taken in the traditional and online formats and include internship hours to be completed in a K-12 school setting.

This Certificate is a formal certificate indicating the completion of a higher education administration curriculum. The coursework included in the certificate program should provide a background for careers in university administration. Courses may be taken in both traditional and online modalities.

The National Arts Standards (2014) and the 猫咪社区 Arts Standards (2017) include dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and media arts. Media arts is a newly recognized art form and K-12 schools are interested in offering media arts courses. The certificate allows current educators to be eligible for a MS K-12 Media Arts Endorsement through the MDE and includes 21 hours.

Successful completion (grade "C" or better) of 21 hours of coursework listed above will lead to the additional endorsement in Media Arts added to a standard, 猫咪社区 "A" teaching license. The student will also earn the Media Arts Certificate from 猫咪社区.
Admission to the program and other details:
- Students admitted into this certificate program must have completed an undergraduate education program and hold a current "A" teaching license or be enrolled in a teacher education program pursuing the "A" teaching license with MDE.
- Those admitted can can take ART 205 and any other six courses (21 hours) from the list of ART, COM, JOU, and MUS courses and be eligible for a K-12 Media Arts Endorsement.
- Students will be advised by the Art Education advisor (Ms. Elise Payne), and recommended for licensing by the Department of Teacher Education and Leadership.
- If a student has some of the above courses from another university, they must enroll in the Media Arts Certificate program and take at least two undergraduate courses from 猫咪社区 in order to receive their endorsement recommendation from MC. A student with undergraduate media arts hours can also elect to apply for graduate admission and, if accepted, take graduate level media arts courses which can be counted towards the 30 hours required for a Master of Science Degree in Graphic Design or Communication or a Masters of Education in Art. Several of the courses listed above have graduate equivalency.

- Transcripts from an accredited university showing an earned degree in a K-12 education field.
- Students are expected to maintain a 3.0 quality point average.
