èßäÉçÇø offers several supplemental endorsements for students pursuing a degree in elementary or secondary education or who already hold a èßäÉçÇø Class A license.

Supplemental Endorsement Areas of Licensure

MDE Approved Programs offered at èßäÉçÇø college

The following supplemental endorsements can be added to a valid, èßäÉçÇø Educator license for the candidate who completes (or is working towards completion of) a teacher education licensure program. The number of required, semester course hours and specific coursework for the supplemental endorsement area has been approved by the èßäÉçÇø Department of Education as a MDE Approved Program. Each candidate must successfully complete and earn a "C" or higher in all of the prescribed coursework at èßäÉçÇø.

Each endorsement requires a university recommendation by èßäÉçÇø’s Licensure and Certification Coordinator—email ccater@mc.edu to request the University Recommendation Application.

Supplemental Endorsements - 18 Hours of coursework

The following endorsements may be added to a Three-Year or Five-Year MS Educator license. A candidate must complete 18 semester hours of approved coursework in the specific content area earning a grade of "C" or better in each course.

For candidates in èßäÉçÇø's undergraduate teacher education licensure programs, supplemental endorsements in the following areas can be added to an initial èßäÉçÇø Educator license.  For the Elementary Education undergraduate candidate, English (7-12), General Science (7-12), Mathematics (7-8 ONLY), or Social Studies (7-12) may be added to the initial educator license by completing two (2) areas of concentration consisting of 18 hours of coursework in each of the two (2) areas. In this case, some applicable Education (EDU) courses may be used in lieu of content area courses to meet the 18 semester hour requirement.
